Jose Morejon was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico from Cuban parents and raised in South Florida. Growing up, he spent a great deal of time in his father’s business, a professional photo lab. That experience instilled a deep love for the visual arts and photography. After graduating from Florida International University in 1994 with a degree in Mass Communications, he set off to be a commercial photographer. After several years in the field, he was introduced to the power of Photoshop and, as they say, the rest is history.
Jose moved from commercial photography to graphic design, discovering a whole new creative world that opened up before him. He set out to learn as much as he could, wherever he could. This enabled him to garner the experience he desired in his quest to achieve better design. Jose worked with different advertising agencies and collaborated with countless creative professionals. This served as a solid foundation for his style of design. In 2004, Jose turned his attention to the web. He quickly realized that web sites, as a medium to communicate, was becoming what TV was in the 50’s and 60’s. Again, to satisfy his quest for knowledge, he set out to learn coding and web design.
Today, Jose Morejon is more than a graphic and web designer. He is a brand strategist. He understands the finer details of what it takes to launch and market (or re-invent) a company, product or service. With years of design, advertising and strategic marketing experience, Jose knows how to approach a particular problem and provide solutions for it.
